| In addition to Greek village life and a beautiful beach, Neos Marmaras has many other attractions. You can take a tour of the Sithonia Peninsula (approximately 90 km, or 57 miles) and discover the fabulous beaches and idyllic mountains. Or take a boat trip around the Athos Peninsula. Athos is the site of picturesque 13th-century Orthodox monasteries inhabited by monks. There are no roads or electricity. Thessaloniki is also well worth a visit. It is the second largest city in Greece with more than a million inhabitants. Thessaloniki boasts many cultural attractions as well as a pulsing nightlife. |
